Project SoftGrip in Mushroom Business magazine

Mushroom Business Magazine

Mushroom Business published an article on the SoftGrip research in the June 2022 issue! This bi-monthly magazine is one of the leading magazines for the global edible fungi industry, can be found in English, Dutch and Polish and has a circulation of 2500 copies in 100 countries worldwide.

The article’s title is “Getting a grip. A soft gripper for delicate mushrooms?”. It follows our team’s mission, the project’s research approach, and implemented technologies, always with the view to the development of a soft robotic system that can handle and protect mushrooms during harvesting.

The article (attached below) is an excellent way for the word about SoftGrip to spread around the mushroom industry. Special thanks to Helen Grogan from Teagasc’s Horticulture Development Department for working on the piece and identifying such a great opportunity to bring the Horizon 2020 project to the forefront.
