Project SoftGrip joins the agROBOfood revolution

Agrobofood Event

Between 11-12 May 2023, Athens and, more specifically, the Agricultural University of Athens became the meeting point for researchers, technology providers, producers, farmers and policymakers in the agri-food industry. In the name of sustainability and innovation, the "Unlocking the Power of Robotics in Agri-Food” networking event organised by agROBOfood was a milestone in promoting robotics and digitalisation to bring about a brighter future.

The SoftGrip project was there to join the initiatives supporting the agROBOfood cause by participating in the “Mapping Innovations Across the EU" session moderated by Mladen Radisic, CEO of Foodscale Hub, on Thursday, May 12. Konstantinos Vasios from the University of Essex gave an insightful presentation on SoftGrip technologies and joined the panel to discuss robotics and its impact on agriculture along with representatives from projects Robs4Crops, CoRoSect, Smart Droplets and FlexiGroBots.

So, it is an honour to cross paths with agROBOfood once again. Last time, the project coordinator Matteo Cianchetti from Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna gave an interview to the agROBOfood newsletter presenting the SoftGrip mission. Therefore, participating in their event was another exquisite opportunity.

Many thanks to agROBOfood for the continuous collaboration!
